Album Info: This is the fifth studio album from US punk rockers Blink 182 following up the hugely successful 2001 release 'Take OffYour Pants And Jacket'. The album sees the band start a fresh with a new mature punk sound doing away with the frat-punk they had become known for. The album also includes the single 'Feeling This'. Review: Blink 182 has been one of my all time favorite bands, they bring the fun and energy to the rock industry, but somewhere hidden within the toilet humor and jokes the songs do have meanings which i love to bits. the self titled album was the last before the breakup and it was such a brilliant album, this time the guys decided to take a more mature and suttle approach to the songs and it worked so well in my opinion songs that really stand out on the album are: 'Feeling this', when this song first was relised i couldn't stop listening to it i played it all the time it was stuck on repeat for ages, such a catchy tune full of life and with allot of blink lyrics it didn't really make much sence unless you really listen, it starts of with some dude saying 'get ready for this!' and bang they explode its brilliant, full of so much life and energy which i always loved and got me dancing around the house (still does today) i think its suppose to be a love song, about someone who misses the love of his life, love the drumming by Travis Barker on this very fast. 'I miss you' was instantly a blink classic it has all the right aspects to a song, a brilliant riff to start the song and a steady drum beat, this time Mark Hoppus and Tom Delonge alternate parts of the singing, its again a love song about a man seeking a woman to tell her how much he loves her, it has a really good chorus ' Don't waste your time on me, you already the voice inside my head, i miss you, miss you' though Tom Delonge doesn't have one of the best voices ever the song wouldn't be the same without him and he has one of those voices that grows on you, the song has a really nice piano ending to it. 'Down' again a steady song with some weird keyboard effects happening in the background, again the lyrics make no sence bit for some reason its really catchy and a good chill out song, even has whispering in it oh and marackers, well song again. 'Always' is my favorite blink 182 song ever, its a beautiful love song about a man desperately in love and just singing about how wonderful his girl is, if you have someone you love then this is like the perfect song to play, brilliant guitaring, again travis just rocks the drums and tom really sung out to this, and with lyrics like: Come on let me hold you, touch you, feel you, always, kiss you, taste you, all night, always, come on let me hold you, touch you, feel you, always, kiss you, taste you, all night, always' its probably one of blink's most emotional songs they've ever done. Other songs to listen out for on the album are, Go, Easy Target. So if your any kind of Blink 182, Greenday, Sum 41, Offspring fan then this is totally up your street, packed full of brilliant riffs, drumming, energy, what more could a rock fan want? i strongly recommend you add this album to your collection its one not to miss for sure, and if your a newbie to blink make sure you check out the old stuff too and enjoy the era that was BLINK 182!
