Music Genre: Emo/Alternative.
Kill Hannah - Until There's Nothing Left Of Us Kill Hannah are a Chicago based, 5 piece rock band who combine rock with synth effects and define the word 'emo', their songs are at times very hard to listen to and are beautifully written. The band started out in 1994 by lead signer Mat Devine, they currently have 5ep's and 4 studio released cd's entitled: The Curse Of Kill Hannah, For Never And Ever, Until There's Nothing Left Of Us and Hope For The Hopeless (B-Sides). KH Facts: The Name Kill Hannah comes from a former girlfriend of Mat Devine. Kill Hannah uniquely have lights fitted to their guitars. Songs to look out for on the album: Life In The Arctic: This track is the intro to the song but definitely a song that instantly tells you what Kill Hannah are about, its just an amazing written rock ballard, the soloing on it is some of the best of KH's and the drums also adding to the pulsing effect of the song. Believer: A great start up song to show you who these guys are, the song starts off with this killer riff then just fly's in to this powerful rock anthem, the song is about realizing the random goings on in life, the song is very catchy and containssome awesome lyrics - the title to the album 'I need you to believe until there's nothing left of us' and has this amazing solo that pulses on in the background. Lips Like Morphine: This song is one of the darkest sounding songs of the album, it's about the desires of a person, 'I wanna girl with lips like morphine' again the song has this really cool power ballard guitaring going on in the background and all have a very epic feel to the whole song and a brilliant solo to add to the effect. Love You To Death: One the most emotional song on the album and a real one for when your feeling down, the song is basically saying that you are not alone, the opening just says it all 'Open your eyes, we're here are you ok?' it just kicks off in the typical KH style, piano then kicks in to bring another ballard to the speakers it also has some amazing effects going on in the background. Crazy Angel: Is a very uplifting song again, kicking off with the question 'So what's the craziest thing you've done lately' again having a catchy riff throughout the song, the songs about a person singing about his girl and that everything she does he forgives her for because he's so in love. The song has a catchy line 'I Looked to the stars and dreamed that the universe was ours' again just an outstanding song from the album and definitely the most catchiest. Scream: This song is the other most emotional song on the album and again at times can be difficult to listen to, the song starts off with a beautiful written piece of piano played by lead singer Mat Devine, then continues into this mellow ballard, the song is about a loss and how hard it is to cope with the pain inside 'Scream it's hard just to breath, when you say goodbye' again containing some well written guitaring just to add to the effect, its a real tear jerker but one that defines how great this band is. Other songs to look for on the album: Black Poison Blood Songs That Saved My Life Basically this band is one of the most incredible bands around and though they are not big yet, they are definitely one to look out for in the next few years, if you get a chance go back and check out their previous album 'For Never And Ever' which again is just as good as this. I wouldn't recommend getting the new European version of this album as its just full of allot of Kill Hannah's old stuff mixed in with new, if you want their older stuff i would recommend buying the previous albums as they are equally as good, it's more like a KH Greatest Hits. For fans of: HIM, Evanescence and 30 Seconds To Mars. Sound mix: 10/10 Likability: 9/10 Artwork: 8/10 Re listen value: 8/10 Rock-Reviews rating: 9/10.
