Review: My chemical romance, the biggest phenomen to hit the rock industry, blasting the scence with the most amazing riffs, lyrics and emotion you could possibly put into one album, The bands lastest album 'The Black Parade' took the world by storm and brought a whole new way of music. The title track 'Welcome to the black parade' stormed the uk's #1 spot in a instant, the songs about a man who is dying from cancer and is going to join the 'black parade' a army of dead! and saying that though you are dead you will be remembered, full of so much emotion and the song just constantly builds and builds from start to finish, i give it up to Ray Toro, and Frank Iero for producing some of the most amazing guitaring ive heard in a band in a very long time now, they have a lot of simalaritys to Pink Floyd with the way the music is produced which is just so amazing to hear and the military style drumming just adds the the effect of the whole sound to the song, 'Dead!' another song that just kicks off with some really cool soloing and a very bouncy feel to the song, basically i think the song is saying did the person in the song deserve to die, one of the lighter songs off the album but no doubt a killer at that one of the songs i can't stop listening to. 'Mama' is a really wierd sounding song, it tells the story of a boy whos leaving to go to war and walking in to Hell, with another boucy riff and drums, which (from experence) get the croud certainly jumping around, 'Cancer' talks about a man who's dying and telling his love his wishes after he dies, and finding it hard to bare the thought of his love seeing him like the way he is, when Gerrard wrote this song to really get in to the frame of mind of someone who has cancer he shaved off all his hair, but it really is a brilliant song shows off Gerrards vocals with a really good piece of piano playing. 'Teenagers' is one of the songs that was a bit different from the rest of the album when i first heard it but was one of my favourites, its just saying how dangerous teenagers are and you better watch out!, its a very catchy tune and will deffenately have you singing along to, pitty it was only 2 and a half mins long but still they pack it all in and even have time for Ray to give a cool solo. 'Famous last words' MCR's latest single wasnt even named when the band filmed the song, the title came recently when Gerrard's 5 year relationship broke up, and he sings about not being afraid of walking the world alone, its such an amazing song full of raw emotion from the guys, also in the video you see that, 2006 was such a great year for MCR just took it out of them and thats what the song and video was just a chance to let off some steam and musically is one of the best tracks off the album as you soon find out in the first 5 opening seconds off the song. Well basically if you like, anything with pure emotion, amazing guitaring and brilliant soloing, and you loved all of MCR's old stuff this surely is the #1 album to get from 2006 by far and i strongly suggest you get this album, one not to be missed for sure.
