My Passion - Thanks For Nothing (Single)
Year: 2009
Music Genre: Alternative/Metal
Band Info: My Passion are a four piece electro-rock band from London England, they combine a sound which varies from the fast passed energetic Punk sound, with electronic synth effects and strong powerful lyrics that has similar styles to the likeness of Mindless Self Indulgence, Bullet For My Valentine and Marilyn Manson, but they certainly show us that they can produce a very unique and catchy vibe to their music. Review: ‘Thanks For Nothing’ is the bands latest single to be released, which has been taken from the forthcoming album ‘Corporate Flesh Party’. The song delivers some really strong and powerful lyrics such as: ‘Life is a drain whichever way you look A masochistic pattern lover you took’ and ‘There's a hole inside your head, where I keep the words we said, and now the anger's dead, there's a world outside instead’ which seams to give the image the song is about breaking up but still being hung up on the person you love and how that now they are apart, they seam to be more in love they have become each others enemy’s. The song provides us with some very upbeat and powerful music as well as the lyrics, giving off a very eerie vibe but still making it very enjoyable to dance and sing to. My Passion are definitely a band to look out for this year, With a very strong force building within and around them, they will certainly become very popular fast and if the album is anything like their latest single they will undoubtedly be one of the best bands to come out of 2009.
