New Found Glory - Coming home.
Year: 2006
Genre: Punk, Alternative.
Album info: Coming home is the seventh album to come from Florida punk band New Found Glory blasting on the scene 10 years ago now and still pulling out some of the best work in they're courier so far. Review: Coming Home, the latest album from the 5 florida punk rockers new found glory this time they have gone for the more older and meaningful approach to the music proving that they are more than they were, songs that stand out on the album are; 'It's Not Your Fault' the first release song about a relationship that's broken and a person saying its not your fault so don't let it get you down, cheer up, life moves on, packed with lots of reassuring lyrics and nice backing vocals from chad gilbert a very nice song to listen to when you are feeling down. 'Hold My Hand' is about a guy singing about falling in love with someone, with some cheesy lines like *you smell like how angels oughta smell*, its a well crafted tune again full of life some cool riffs and soft backing vocals, one to dance to for sure at a show, it even has a pause for a clap along! 'Familiar Landscapes' my favorite song off the album about a person who's broken hearted, remembering the good times in life and on the brink of giving up on life. Its very emo with brilliant lyrics like; 'what do you want from me?, cus my heart can't take this anymore', a nice piano backing and again some good riffs, another one worth singing along too. Another song on the album that was only a bonus was track 14, which i dunno why the hell it wasn't actually a track worth a name at least, starts off with a killer riff, singing about something special about the person you love and being very excited and wanting to tell everyone about it, keep a listen out for sure . Finally, of course the title track 'Coming Home' is about a person who has left and is coming back to the person he loves, packed with the lyrics of a love song *I'm coming home to you again*, also one of the only songs to havea mini solo. So basically if you liked NFG's old stuff it is different but worth the listen for the meaningful lyrics, enjoy a good sing-a-long, good guitaring, or even if you have never listened to the giys before, it's a well worth album to own highly recommended, just a pitty they don't play much of the new stuff at they're shows.
